This past Saturday afternoon, candidate for Somerville’s Ward 4 Alderman Jesse Clingan held his first campaign kickoff party.
Clingan, a very well known and highly respected member of the community drew a crowd of over two hundred supporters that packed the house at Casey’s Bar that’s located on Broadway in Somerville.
Amongst the huge crowd of supporters that attended the first time kick off event were a record number of incumbent local and state elected officials as well as political candidate hopefuls that are running for other elected local offices.
After the event Clingan posted to all his supporters on Facebook “Wow!!! I’m so touched. Packed House! Thank you to all my friends and family for coming out. We are strong…we are ready! It’s time to hit the doors and phones. Together we will win this!!”
Ward 1 Alderman Matthew McLaughlin also posted “Proud to stand with Jesse Clingan for Ward 4 Alderman. Never seen such a crowd for a first time candidate. Whoever decides to run is in the fight of their lives. No one works harder than Jesse.”
Jesse Clingan said “Door knocking and phone calls will begin this coming Sunday” and he said that “His team of supporters are ready and anxious to begin working on his campaign!”
