Rep Christine Barber Receives Norris Weston Award

This initiative allows Somerville to charge a small fee on new development for a fund for job training and placement, and helps us harness new growth to ensure there are opportunities for all in Somerville. Somerville Community Corporation (SCC) understands that one way to ensure development without displacement is to help people get living wage jobs, and we appreciate all of their work and support!

Christine Barber posted “Incredibly honored to receive the Norris Weston Award from Somerville Community Corporation (SCC), along with my colleagues Pat Jehlen, Denise Provost and Tim Toomey, for our work getting the Jobs Trust bill passed last session.”
