On April 10th, 2017, I, Officer Sousa, was on duty and assigned to uniform patrol in East-3. At approximately 5:14pm, I responded along with East-2 Ofc. Reece, Tango-9 Ofc. Teves and S9 Sgt. Shackelford to XX Homer Sq for an unwanted. Dispatch notified responding units that the unwanted was a Ms. Kelly Susi who had an outstanding warrant.
Ofc. Reece was first on scene and encountered Ms. Susi when she asked for her name. Ms. Susi then became hostile and wouldn’t give her the name. She finally told Ofc. Reece her name and Ofc. Reece advised her that she had an outstanding warrant. Ofc. Reece went to grab her by her wrist to put her under arrest and Ms. Susi pulled away and began to flail her arms. She attempted to get away from Ofc. Reece, who was able to grab her by both arms, but Ms. Susi continued to use her body in attempt to get out of Ofc. Reece’s grasp. XXXXX ran out and tried to assist Ofc. Reece in subduing Ms. Susi. She became even more hostile and was screaming at XXXXX and spat at him. At this time, Ofc. Reece was able to get Ms. Susi into handcuffs as Ofc. Teves arrived on scene. When officers tried to get her to sit down, Ms. Susi kicked XXXXX with her right foot.
After Ms. Susi was under control, I went to talk to the victim, XXXXX. XXXXX stated that Ms. Susi came to the house and wanted to get in but was not welcomed. When she couldn’t get in she ripped the screen completely in half that was on a window on the back porch to the house. XXXXX stated when he helped to subdue Ms. Susi with Ofc. Reece, she kicked XXXXX in the groin with her boots on. I would like to note that a picture of the black boots she was wearing at the time will be attached to this report. XXXXX denied medical attention on scene.
Ms. Susi was placed under arrest for the following charges:
MGL C.268/S.32B RESISTING ARREST
MGL C.266/S.126 DEFACEMENT OF PROPERTY
MGL C.265/S.15A/A A&B DANGEROUS WITH DANGEROUS WEAPON SHOD FOOT
She was also placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant out of Woburn District Court for Abuse Prevention Order Violation.
Ms. Susi was transported by Ofc. Marra in Unit 200 to the Somerville Police Department and booked in the usual manner by Lt. Mulcahy.
